Mark As Completed Discussion

Why Referrals Matter

Referrals are the fast lane past the ATS and into real conversations. Inside many companies, a referred candidate is reviewed sooner, by more human eyes, with more patience. Yes, even if your resume still says “Projects” instead of “Experience.”

Definition time: a referral is when an employee submits your candidacy internally. A warm intro is when someone introduces you to a decision‑maker. You want both. They increase your response rate, interview rate, and offer rate.

Think of referrals as a routing optimization: same job graph, fewer hops.
