Identity and Access Management
Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a digital platform that allows you to securely manage access to AWS services. Organizations use IAM to control who is logged in and who has access to services. When you initially register on AWS, you get a user login ID with full access to Amazon services and facilities. That ID is known as the root user account, and it may be accessed by using the email ID and password you used to register on the platform.
IAM strongly suggests that you do not utilize the root user for any of your daily duties. Instead, the standard protocol is to use the root user to generate your first IAM ID. Then the root login credentials can be securely stored and used only for a few accounts and managed services.
