Final CRUD Polish
Now that we've covered Working With the Database, our CRUD app can create, read, update, and delete CRUDPost records.
But a usable web app needs a bit more product discipline:
- Permissions: users should not edit or delete posts they do not own.
- Messages: users should get feedback after an action succeeds or fails.
- Pagination: the home page should not try to render every post forever.
This is the last lesson in the CRUD Web Interface section. After this, the app will feel much closer to a real user-facing Django product, and we'll be ready to move into authentication and deployment.
