Interviewing for SWE jobs is a winner take all. I know we all hear about interviewer wanting to see problem-solving, but really they want to see you come up with the right answer and that's the criteria you are evaluated on.

Software Engineering once you are working is an Auction. A wide range of skills are important and being attune to your strengths and weaknesses as well as being good with all the soft-skills will help you grow in your career.

Interesting take! Agree with everything except the "really they want to see you come up with the right answer" part-- this might be true for some interviewers, sure. But when I worked at larger tech companies, they always had us do interview training and group debriefs after interviews-- and for the most part, how you approach the problem does play a big role, especially if the question is tough for all interviewees.
