Amazingly supportive environment, full of friendly and smart people. The C-level team is refreshingly down to earth and very approachable. It's an exciting time to be at the company and it feels like the sky is the limit. The Sydney office is amazing, with all the perks you'd expect of a Silicon Valley-style tech company.
Canva provides challenging work. Managers are really good and they are software engineers too. Canva is very sociable, there are lots of clubs to join. Canva has done a great job with being responsive to Covid - they care about employee safety.
When I joined Canva I had exactly zero experience with building cloud applications that operate at scale. I found the senior engineers to be extremely open and generous with their time.
At Canva you get to work on challenging problems with extremely smart people and the features you work on will be used by millions of people. Having lunch with your team mates is a great way to get to know everyone and the founders really care about making a difference.
